Auto Claims Adjuster

Job Type: Full-time / Pay: From $55,000 per year

A day in the life includes:

  • Actively listen to those involved in an accident, ask good questions, and obtain recorded statements.
  • Conduct resourceful and thorough investigations to assess accident liability and determine if coverage is applicable.
  • Order appraisals, police reports, and various other reports to assist in the investigation.
  • Communicate with insureds, claimants, witnesses, attorneys and other invested claim participants via phone, e-mail, text, and regular mail.
  • Issue payment based on estimates and invoices received.
  • Work closely with cross-functional departments (i.e. Total Loss, Appraisal, Bodily Injury, Subrogation) to ensure seamless and quality claims handling.

Qualifications/Work Experience:

  • Prior auto claims experience is required.
  • Experience with detailed investigations, including obtaining statements and reviewing reports.
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment that is ever changing.

Education/skills:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Ability to obtain adjuster license in required states.
  • Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems.
  • Strong sense of teamwork and a customer centric orientation.
  • Self-starting, self-motivating and able to make decisions independently.
  • Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
